Brembo

Opened in 1961 in Bergamo, the small workshop founded by two friends, Emilio Bombassei and Italo Breda, has grown over half a century of activity into one of the world's leading manufacturers of brake components. The first brake discs designed and manufactured by the company, which received the name Brembo, were introduced to the Italian independent car parts market in 1964. Their popularity prompted the engineers to expand the company's product range to include other braking system components. Soon, car manufacturers became interested in the Brembo brand; in 1975, Enzo Ferrari approached the company, wanting to equip Formula 1 cars with its products. Long-term cooperation with a number of leading motorsport teams allowed the company to test innovative technologies in extreme track conditions, thanks to which the effectiveness of its products was appreciated by many manufacturers of exclusive cars, including Aston Martin, Porsche, Bugatti and Lamborghini.
